The Riots were a straight ahead garage/punk rock and roll band that formed in the summer of 2003. Guitarist/singer Joe Jennings was searching for a last minute replacement drummer to play an already booked show at the Foxx club in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles after his previous band members had quit on him and moved out of town. He met drummer Mike Riegle, and the two played their first show together as a duo. They soon recruited bassist Brant Boling, and the three began to play shows around town as The Riots at venues like the Foxx Club, Paladino’s, Anarchy Library among others.

In October of 2003 the guys asked Jeff Kaleth to record a six song EP. Over the course of about 3 days they tracked and mixed 6 songs. The session was done all live in their Culver City rehearsal studio. The band was short lived, and unfortunately the recordings were never released until now!
